Kama Maclean is Professor of South Asian History in the South Asia Institute (SAI) at the University of Heidelberg and Professor of South Asian and World History at UNSW Sydney. She is the editor of South Asia: Journal of South Asian Studies. She is the author of Pilgrimage and Power: The Kumbh Mela in Allahabad and A Revolutionary History of Interwar India: Violence, image, voice and text. Kama is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities and the Australia India Institute.
